Travis Murphy Lozada Wanted for Alleged Murder of 14-Year-Old April Montano

ID #14-383

The Tulsa Police Department is currently seeking Travis Murphy Lozada for the alleged first-degree murder of 14-year-old April Montano and for an alleged attempted armed robbery.

According to detectives, Montano was shot and killed in June while riding in her family’s pickup on the Gilcrease Expressway. The truck was hauling several four wheelers, and police say robbery was the motive in girl’s death.

Court documents show Lozada was initially considered a witness in the murder case against David Ruble II and Demonte Wayne Rushing who remain in jail for first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery.

The 20-year-old man is described as a black male, 5’09” and 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He will be held on a $1 million bond.
