Morgan Hill police are warning the public about a scam in which individuals are being told they have an outstanding warrant for their arrest and need to deposit $750 on a prepaid Green Dot debit card to clear up the matter. Police said the department received several calls on Friday from community members who reported receiving telephone calls asking for money.

The police department wants to remind community members that law enforcement agencies never request or ask an individual to wire or send money to resolve a warrant or fee.
