A suspect in an attack that knocked a woman unconscious outside San Francisco’s AT&T Park Thursday evening as arrested in Sacramento later that night, San Francisco police said today.

The woman had tried to intervene in a fight that broke out and was attacked herself at 5:50 p.m. at Second and King streets shortly after a game between the San Francisco Giants and Oakland A’s.

She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with serious injuries. Police said this morning that she has been responding to treatment at the hospital.

The suspect arrested is believed to be one of two male suspects who got into an argument with the victims, police said.

One suspect punched the male victim in the face, and when the woman tried to break up the fight one of the suspects punched her in the face, knocking her unconscious, Esparza said.

The suspects fled the scene and the second suspect remains at large.

The male victim was treated at the scene for chipped teeth.
