Two men and a teen boy were arrested in connection with an injury shooting on San Francisco’s Market Street Sunday evening, police said today. A 22-year-old woman was found shot in the wrist outside The Warfield theater near Golden Gate Avenue at about 7:30 p.m., police said. The victim had heard gunshots and then realized she was shot, police said.
She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police. Officers quickly arrested three suspects at the scene. Kawme Williams, 18, of Oakland, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm and concealing a firearm, police Sgt. Danielle Newman said.
Robert Earl Smith, 20, of Hayward, was arrested on suspicion of the same charges as well as receiving stolen property, Newman said. Smith and Williams are being held without bail, according to the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department. The third suspect was not identified because he is 16 years old, police said. Investigators are still working out the relationship between the suspects and investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, police said.
