Two teens were arrested and two suspects remain at large after allegedly burglarizing a home in San Ramon on Monday morning, police said Tuesday.

Police said a man returned home in the 2600 block of Derby Drive around 8:45 a.m. Monday and noticed that the property’s side gate was open. As he went to close the gate, two young men ran toward him through the gate and into a car parked on the street, police said.

The two men fled in the car and two more suspects ran out the back of the house and hopped fences into neighboring backyards, according to police.

Officers responding to the burglary found that the home had been ransacked and several items, including a safe with jewelry inside, were missing, police said.

Police set up a perimeter in the area and found the two suspects who had fled on foot in a backyard on nearby Tumbleweed Court.

The suspects, a 16-year-old boy from Bay Point and a 19-year-old San Francisco resident identified as Marquis Parker, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, according to police.

The teen, who police didn’t identify due to his age, was also arrested for violating his probation and both suspects were arrested on no-bail warrants from separate counties.

Police said detectives are attempting to locate the other two suspects, one of whom was described as a clean-cut black man estimated to be about 23 to 25 years old with a skinny build, standing about 6 feet tall who was wearing a blue sweatshirt at the time of the burglary. A description was not available for the second suspect.

The car was described as a white Nissan Rogue SUV with California license plates 6YDJ348, according to police.
