Police are searching for a man who robbed the Bank of the West in Mill Valley late this morning.
The man entered the bank at 761 E. Blithedale Ave., around 11:15 a.m., passed a note to a teller and left with cash, Mill Valley police said.
The robber may have had a black gun in his possession, but did not point a weapon at anyone, police said.
The suspect was last seen heading north in the parking lot toward Ashton Avenue. Police searched the area but did not find the suspect.
The suspect is described as a tall, thin, white man between 30 and 45 years of age, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall with possible facial hair or goatee stubble, police said.
