Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that damaged two cars in South San Francisco earlier this week. Police said several witnesses called around 2:30 p.m. Thursday to report hearing several consecutive gunshots near the intersection of Aspen and Cypress avenues. Officers arrived on the scene and found a loaded gun and numerous bullet fragments on Cypress Avenue between 8th Lane and Pine Avenue, police said.
The bullets struck two parked cars in the area, according to police. No injuries were reported. Police said witnesses reported that shots were fired from a dark green, two-door GMC or Chevrolet SUV as it made its way slowly down Pine Avenue to Cypress Avenue. The car was last seen making a left turn onto Airport Boulevard.
