Police Asking For Help In Locating Scene Of Fatal Shooting After Epa Teen Dies At Redwood City Hospital

A 16-year-old East Palo Alto boy died of a gunshot wound early this morning in a Redwood City hospital and police are now asking the public for help in determining where and when he was shot.

Police were called to Kaiser Hospital in Redwood City around 12:20 this morning on a report of a gunshot victim with a wound to the upper torso, according to Lt. Sean Hart.

The boy died shortly after arriving at the hospital, Hart said.

The location where the shooting occurred and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unknown at this time.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Josh Chilton at (650) 780-7141, or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477 if they wish to leave an anonymous tip. Those providing information could be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers.
