Novato police on Monday arrested a man on suspicion of raping an intoxicated woman at his residence last week. Robert Alan McPeek, 26, allegedly raped and sodomized the woman, who was intoxicated to the point of unconsciousness, at his residence in the 1000 block of Sixth Street around 2:30 a.m. Friday, police Sgt. Michael Howard said.

The incident was interrupted and the victim left the scene, Howard said. Police conducted a follow-up investigation and arrested McPeek at 6:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Marin County Jail booking log. McPeek was booked into jail on suspicion of rape and sodomy of an unconscious victim. He is being held under $100,000 bail.
