Hollister, California Police Press Release May 30, 2014
The Hollister Police Department is requesting the assistance of residents to help identify an unknown suspect caught on surveillance video committing a commercial burglary.
On Friday May 23, 2014 at about 6:37 pm, an unknown male suspect entered the Safeway store at 591 Tres Pinos Road and walked directly to the liquor aisle. Less than a minute later, the man is observed carrying multiple bottles of liquor out the front door of the store without paying for them. The suspect is also observed holding what appears to be a knife in his right hand as he exits the store.
An alert citizen then notified management of the theft of multiple bottles of liquor. The incident was recorded on store surveillance video and then reported to police.
The male suspect appears to be approximately 18-22 years of and appears unshaven with collar length wavy curly hair. The suspect is wearing a solid red shirt and blue jeans. It is unknown if the suspect left the area of Safeway on foot or in an associated vehicle.
