Home Invasion Suspect Killed By Victim in Tulare County, Deputies Release Photos of Other Suspects at Large

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in solving this crime. Deputies report that on 5-27-2014 at approximately 0542 hours four siblings were in their home, ages 22, 18, 11 and 8. The 22 year old male heard the door to their house being broken in and saw at least two people in his home. He retrieved a handgun from a safe and approached the suspects. Both the victim and at least one suspect exchanged gunfire inside the residence.

The victim was struck multiple times and was transported to a Fresno area hospital.

Two suspects were struck multiple times. One suspect was deceased on scene. While exiting the residence the second suspect attempted to pull the decedent back to the vehicle. The deceased suspect was left on scene while the second injured suspect was transported by van to Kaweah Delta District Hospital and left by two subjects captured by security cameras.

The van that transported the suspect was also captured by security cameras.

The van is described as a gray 1990 Chevy Astrovan, license number 7CHR190.

This investigation is ongoing.
