Wanted fugitive, Joshua Helman, has 15 felony convictions and loves to lead cops on high speed chases that put the public in danger.

Kent police are asking for your help in finding him after he and a couple of other thieves broke a sliding glass door on a home while a 71 year old woman was inside — and they didn’t pick her randomly. “This case in particular actually stemmed from a Tukwila case where Mr. Helman was identified as breaking into a vehicle,” says Kent Det. Melanie Frazier. “Once in the vehicle he got the registration and he got a garage clicker, and from there, went to the residence of an elderly couple while the female was inside, opened the garage door, got into her vehicle that was in the garage, stealing a credit card, and attempting to get inside the residence.”

A neighbor heard the break-in and called 911. Helman took off, but not before he stole the woman’s credit card and went on an expensive shopping spree.

Helman also has a felony warrant for stealing a police ‘bait car.’

The photo above shows him inside it on the right. The other guy has already been identified. He didn’t know the photos were secretly snapped of him when he tried to steal the car.

He got away from police on foot that time too, and Det. Frazier says, don’t expect this reckless fugitive to surrender anytime soon. “We need to get him. This guy is escalating. He’s known to always, always, in every way elude police, putting himself and others in danger, and putting law enforcement in danger. He’s a fighter. He’s not going to go down easy.”

Detectives say he was last living in Federal Way and has connections to several cities in south King County.
