A man arrested on suspicion of a shooting in Fairfield earlier this month was also booked today on a homicide warrant for a killing in South Carolina in April, police said today.
Terry McClure, 26, had been arrested Thursday in connection with a May 1 shooting on Willow Lane that critically injured two people, according to Fairfield police.
McClure was arrested while Fairfield police were collaborating with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, which identified him as a suspect in an April 26 fatal shooting in Pelion, South Carolina.
The sheriff’s department was able to obtain a homicide warrant for McClure and served it today while he remained in custody in Solano County Jail, police said.
On Friday, sheriff’s officials also arrested Justin Butler, 22, for the South Carolina killing. Butler has an extensive criminal history and past run-ins with Fairfield police, officers said.
