A 13-year-old boy called police in Sumter, South Carolina after having an argument with his mother. He told police he was upset and didn’t want to live there anymore.

Officer Gaetano Acerra responded to the call and after talking with caller, Cameron Simmons, he discovered that young Cameron didn’t have a bed or much else typical teens have in their bedrooms.

Officer Acerra took it upon himself to buy Cameron a bed, a TV and even a Wii. He also counseled Cameron and told him he could call him like a big brother if he needed help in the future.
