A man on probation was arrested this weekend during a sweep of known sex offenders in parts of Monterey County, according to the county sheriff’s office. The sweep, headed by the sheriff’s Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement task force, included parts of Gonzales, Soledad, Greenfield and King City on Saturday, according to sheriff’s officials.
Around 11:30 a.m., task force members searched a home of registered sex offender Anthony Lewis, 44, of Marina. According to sheriff’s officials, Lewis had alcohol at the home, which was a violation of his probation terms. He was booked into Monterey County Jail on suspicion of probation violation.
