Police are investigating a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning at a home in San Francisco’s Hunters Point.

At about 3 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of Kirkwood Avenue near Earl Street.

Police met with residents of a home who said they were inside their home sleeping when they awoke to the sound of gunfire.

The residents were not injured, but bullets had penetrated their walls and a window, police said.

The officers collected evidence and are continuing to investigate the drive-by shooting.
