A man robbed a bank in Larkfield Thursday afternoon and the suspect remains at large despite a search of the area, sheriff’s officials said. The Exchange Bank at 500 Larkfield Center was reported to have been robbed at about 12:20 p.m., according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. A man who appeared to be in his 20s walked into the bank and demanded cash.
He was given the money and put it in a grocery bag and ran out of the bank and southeast through the Larkfield Center parking lot, sheriff’s officials said. His picture was captured on surveillance video. Deputies searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the man and he remains at large, sheriff’s officials said.
The suspect was described as a white man standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a slender build and a brown patch of hair under his bottom lip. He was wearing tan or green long-sleeved button-up shirt, black pants, light-colored shoes, a camouflage beanie cap and sunglasses, according to the sheriff’s office. Exchange Bank is offering a $5,000 reward for his capture, sheriff’s officials said.
