An El Sobrante resident has been charged in connection with a 24-year-old man’s murder at a Tara Hills home last month.
Kyle Navarro, 20, of El Sobrante, has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Nicholas Callen on March 31 at a home in the 2600 block of Cornelius Drive, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. His arraignment is set for Monday afternoon in Martinez.
Navarro turned himself in on an arrest warrant on Wednesday morning and is being held at the county jail in Martinez in lieu of $2 million bail.
His arrest came a week after the first suspect, 28-year-old Michael McQueen of Pinole, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in Sonoma in connection with the murder.
Prosecutors were not immediately available to comment on a possible motive for the killing.
