Riverside police are seeking the public’s help in identifying an armed robbery suspect. On March 30, 2014, at around 8:20 pm, a white male adult, approximately 20 years, 6’00”, entered the Family Dollar store at 5608 Van Buren Boulevard. The suspect shopped for about 15 minutes, selecting numerous items and placing them in a shopping cart. He then left the store without paying for the merchandise.

A female employee followed the suspect out of the store where she confronted him. The suspect immediately pointed a silver revolver at her. As she ran to cover, the suspect pushed the cart away through the parking lot past the Happy Buffet.

Video surveillance both inside and outside the store recorded the suspect as he entered and left. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hat with a red bill, a grey long-sleeved shirt with what appeared to be a RTA (Riverside Transit Authority “Bus”) patch on the right shoulder, and dark pants. He was wearing a black backpack from which he hung a red or orange skateboard.
