A 26-year-old Sacramento man who was visiting his family was shot in Marin City early this morning, a Marin County sheriff’s lieutenant said. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken by his family to Marin General Hospital, Lt. Jamie Scardina said. The sheriff’s office received 911 calls around 2:10 a.m. about gunshots in the area of Cole Drive and Drake Avenue.
Deputies found several spent rounds in the area of 200 Courtyard/30 Lot in Marin City, but there were no victims or suspects in the area, Scardina said. The hospital notified the sheriff’s office at 2:40 a.m. that a family has taken a gunshot victim to the hospital, Scardina said. Detectives are trying to interview the family members and witnesses, Scardina said.
