Hayward police are searching for a suspect who robbed a bank earlier this week while wearing a t-shirt proclaiming “I have issues.” The suspect, who was captured on surveillance video footage, entered the bank at 27000 Hesperian Blvd. in Hayward shortly before 4 p.m. and approached the teller window, according to Sgt. Eric Melendez.
He gave the teller a note stating that he was armed and robbing the bank, and the teller gave him cash from her drawer. The suspect then left the bank through the front door and left the scene, Melendez said. The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches and weighing around 185 pounds. He was wearing a t-shirt that read “I have issues” during the robbery. No firearm was ever actually seen during the robbery.
