Livermore police are looking for a man who evaded police and was seen driving erratically in the city’s Springtown neighborhood on Sunday morning, a police spokeswoman said. A silver minivan was driving recklessly in the area of Scenic and Central avenues around 10:10 a.m., police spokeswoman Traci Rebiejo said. An officer saw the minivan travel in the opposite direction of traffic on Scenic Avenue, passing by another vehicle over double yellow lines, she said.
The minivan continued driving at about 30 mph through a posted stop sign, Rebiejo said. The officer attempted a traffic stop on the minivan but the driver sped away and was last seen traveling west on Sunflower Court near Bellflower Street, Rebiejo said. Witnesses told officers that the same man was seen recklessly driving the vehicle in the area the day before and last week, according to Rebiejo. The driver is described as a man in his early 20s who was driving a Chrysler Town & Country or similar type of minivan.
