ID #14-202

Two unidentified men robbed a woman at gunpoint on Thursday night in South San Francisco, police said. At about 10 p.m. on Thursday a 27-year-old South San Francisco woman exited the South San Francisco BART station and saw three people at a bus stop near the station, police said.

The woman was walking alone on Centennial Trail, just south of the station, where a person ran up behind her and attempted to steal her purse, police said. A struggle ensued and the suspect produced a handgun and pistol-whipped the woman, according to police. The suspect with the handgun took her purse and handed it to a second suspect.

Both suspects started running southbound on the trail and were last seen running through a parking lot at 1024 Mission Road toward Grand Avenue, police said. Both suspects are described as black men between 20 and 25 years old. One suspect, armed with a semiautomatic pistol, was wearing a black baseball cap with a red bill, a black T-shirt, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes.

He stood about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed about 145 pounds, police said. The second suspect was wearing a black baseball cap under a black hooded sweatshirt, with black jeans worn low, and black ‘Jordan’ tennis shoes. He had collar-length dreadlocks. He stood 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed about 190 pounds, police said. The victim was treated at the scene for injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.
