Sausalito Mini Storage at 415 Coloma St. robbed

Sausalito police said a man wearing a dust or surgical mask tied up the manager of a storage business and fled with $200 in cash Thursday. The robbery at the Sausalito Mini Storage at 415 Coloma St. happened around 4:40 p.m., police said. The suspect pointed a black semi-automatic pistol at the employee and demanded money.

After getting only a small amount of money from the office, the robber demanded the employee’s wallet, police said. The robber forced the employee on the floor and tied his hands and feet with plastic bindings before he left, police said. The employee freed himself in a few minutes and called police. Sausalito police and Marin County sheriff’s deputies the area for more than an hour but did not find the suspect. The suspect was described as a tall white male who was wearing a colored cap, blue jacket and blue jeans.
