A San Francisco woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after an injury collision in Petaluma Wednesday evening, police said.

At about 5:05 p.m., 38-year-old Kwi Kang was driving in the 1200 block of North McDowell Boulevard when she turned directly into the path of oncoming traffic, according to Petaluma police.

Kang hit another car, which caused the airbags of the victim’s vehicle to deploy, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.

Police said that because officers detected alcohol coming from Kang, they conducted a DUI investigation. Kang was determined to have a blood alcohol level of .08 percent.

Due to the injury suffered by the victim, Kang was arrested and booked on suspicion of felony DUI.
