HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – April 7, 2014- The Hollister Police Department requests the assistance of residents to identify two people caught on surveillance video committing a theft.
On March 27, 2014 at about 5:30 p.m., a Hollister resident entered the Hollister Super Market located at 211 Third Street in Hollister. While purchasing some items, he placed his wallet on one of the nearby counters near the cashier. He left the store but realized he left his wallet behind. He returned within 15 minutes and his wallet was gone.
With the assistance of store personnel, Police reviewed the store surveillance video and observed a man and two women enter the store with a small child. One of the women appears to notice the wallet and motioned to the man. The video shows the man taking the wallet and handing it to the woman. The man, the two women and the child later leave the store with the wallet. They were seen on store video getting into a dark colored mid-size truck.
The Hollister Police Department has attempted to identify the suspects through local police and arrest records but have been unsuccessful. The police department is reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying them. The man appears to have a tattoo on his left arm near his wrist. He is a light skinned white or Hispanic male approximately in his 20s with short brown hair. The two women have similar clothing, have long black hair, medium complexion and possible also in their early 20s.
