Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies in Florida prevented a man from jumping off a bridge in a suicide attempt Sunday, authorities said.

In a release, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said the three deputies responded to the Bay Pines Bridge just before 10 a.m. to attempt to save the life of an unidentified 24-year-old man standing on the bridge’s railing.

Deputies distracted him while other deputies quietly ran up behind him and grabbed him from jumping.
