A 22-year-old Santa Rosa man was convicted Friday for sexually assaulting a young boy in the summer of 2013, Sonoma County District Attorney Jill Ravitch said. Defendant Adam Santana pled no contest Friday and was convicted on two counts of forcible molestation of a child under the age of 14, Ravitch said.
The defendant entered his pleas prior to the preliminary hearing and agreed to serve a stipulated prison term of 20 years, according to Ravitch. Santana’s sentencing is scheduled for June 12.
In the summer of 2013 a young boy disclosed that Santana forcibly molested him two separate times. The boy was a friend of Santana’s family and was living in the same home as Santana at the time, Ravitch said. “Sexual assaults against children are a priority of this office and this case demonstrates our commitment to keep children safe,” Ravitch said.
