A 16-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly robbing a gas station at gunpoint Friday evening in Antioch, police said. Officers responded to a report that a gas station located at 3720 Lone Tree Way had been robbed at gunpoint at about 5:25 p.m., police said. Lone Tree Gas and Food is listed at that address. The victim told police that the suspect fled on foot south on Lone Tree Way near James Donlon Boulevard, according to police.
When officers arrived, they searched for the suspect and found him behind a nearby CVS/pharmacy store, police said. Police said the boy was sitting down counting money and fled when he saw officers. He was caught by officers a short distance from there. The clerk identified the boy as the suspect. He was then transported to juvenile hall. No one was injured in the incident.
