Police are looking for burglars who stole cash, jewelry and electronics from a Fremont home on Wednesday. Officers took down a report of a residential burglary in the 4100 block of Ardo Street that happened between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The suspects had entered the home by prying open a side garage door, according to police.
The door from the garage into the home appeared to be forced open and the suspects had ransacked all the bedrooms, police said. A resident in the area told officers that a suspicious man and car were in the neighborhood around 2:30 p.m., police said. The man was described as Italian or Greek, about 18 to 20 years old standing about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build.
He was last seen wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood on, dark colored pants and a backpack. The vehicle was described as a gray Toyota minivan with mag wheels and a New York license plate. The license plate number may have included a C or G1948.
