An inmate walked away from Alder Camp, located near Klamath, Calif., in Del Norte County, at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26.
26-year-old Corey Joseph Janic, is described as a white male, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 145 pounds, with brown eyes, a shaved head, medium build and light complexion. He was last seen wearing orange pants stenciled with “C.D.C.R. Prisoner” down the pant leg.
Janic was committed to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation on March 15, 2011, from Benito County for first-degree burglary and unlawful taking of a vehicle. He was serving a five-year sentence.
