Oakland Police Trying to Identify “Selfie” Taken on Smart Phone Stolen in Robbery

Oakland police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who allegedly stole a woman’s cell phone last month. Police said the woman was walking in the 1900 block of Telegraph Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 2 when the man reached into her purse, took her cell phone and fled the area on foot.

Police describe the suspect as a black man between the ages of 20 and 25 who is 5-foot-9, weighs about 150 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
