A 26-year-old man shot and killed Monday night inside a suburban home just east of U.S. Highway 101 in South San Jose has been identified as Tony Thanh Nhan Nguyen, a police sergeant said today. San Jose police responded to a report of an unresponsive person at a home in the 5100 block of Eppling Lane at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Sgt. Heather Randol said.
Officers found Nguyen, a San Jose resident, suffering from at least one gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Randol said. The Police Department’s homicide detectives arrived at the crime scene and took over the investigation, but no suspects are in custody, police said. Police urge anyone with information about Nguyen’s death to contact the department’s Homicide Unit at (408) 277-5283, Randol said.
