A man attacked a Philadelphia SEPTA Transit Police Officer that was caught on cell phone video. The officer is recovering from injuries after a scary and violent confrontation on SEPTA’s Broad and Fairmount Station. SEPTA Police Chief Thomas Nestel says police responded to a call of a man with threatening to shoot passengers. An officer responded and got into a struggle with the man.
The officer tried to Pepper spray the man but it still didn’t stop him. A baton was then used and that didn’t stop him. The officer then had the man down when the suspect reached for his gun. Then passengers came to the rescue, a few in particular helped the police subdue the suspect.
