Police in Salinas are investigating a shooting into a home on Monday night. Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 600 block of Dallas Avenue at about 10:10 p.m. Monday, police said. Investigators learned that an occupant in a gray car with tinted windows fired at least three shots, one of which went through a window of a home, according to police. No one was injured in the shooting.
Police said two juvenile girls walking in the area are believed to be in gangs and may have been the targets of the shooting. The residents of the home that sustained damage are not in gangs, according to police. No suspects were found in a subsequent search.
