Police today released photos of a woman who stole a Buddha statue from a Petaluma home in January. The theft occurred at about 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 17 in the 500 block of Almanor Street in northern Petaluma, police Sgt. Ed Crosby said. The stone statue, which was stolen from the home’s porch, is about 1 1/2 feet tall, Crosby said.

In February, the victim provided investigators with still images from security video footage, and police released those images today, Crosby said. The woman shown in the stills is believed to be associated with another person who was driving a white SUV with a sunroof, he said.
