A San Rafael man was arrested in connection with an indecent exposure incident Thursday morning in Sausalito, police said. Officers responded to a report of indecent exposure in the 1500 block of Bridgeway at about 9:50 a.m., police said. The female reporting the incident told police that she was walking on Bridgeway when a vehicle pulled to the curb a short distance ahead of her, according to police. When she passed the car, she witnessed the driver masturbating. The driver then fled north on Bridgeway.

Police said the car was spotted a short time later attempting to park in the 1700 block of Bridgeway. When the driver saw officers, he drove away south on Bridgeway. Officers found the car parked on Litho Street near Bonita Street and an investigation determined that the driver, 33-year-old Jose Rivera-Hernandez, was on court probation for a similar offense in Marin County, police said. Rivera-Hernandez was arrested on suspicion of lewd conduct in a public place and probation violation. He was booked into Marin County Jail and is being held without bail.
