A man tried to rob a Shell gas station in San Carlos Wednesday evening and got away in a white pickup truck, according to the sheriff’s office. The robbery at the gas station located at 1098 El Camino Real was reported at 6:45 p.m., the sheriff’s office said. But by the time deputies arrived, the suspect had fled in a white pickup truck.

The man is described as white, 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a thin build and a shaved head. He was wearing a white T-shirt and white painters paints.

The truck is described as a 2-door pickup with black rubber trim, possibly a late 80s or early 90s model Chevrolet with a tool box in the bed.
