A teenage man was arrested for vandalism late Monday night in Fairfield, police said.
Officers responded to a report of vandalism in the 2700 block of Martin Road just before midnight, police said.
When officers arrived, they found freshly painted surfaces at the nearby Bradbury Basin. Investigators spotted a subject fleeing the area, jumping over fences to a residential area, according to police.
Not far from there, another officer located a vehicle speeding away. That car was pulled over.
Police said evidence was recovered from the driver and the vehicle linked to the vandalism.
The driver, 19-year-old Fairfield resident Brandon Barajas-Cerda, was arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail on suspicion of felony vandalism.
