20-year-old Man Injured In Fairfield Shooting Is Expected To Survive

A man was shot while walking in Fairfield Thursday night, a police sergeant said.

The shooting happened around 8:20 p.m. in the 100 block of East Pacific Avenue and the victim, a 20-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, Sgt. Becky Belk said.

The suspects are two males associated with a light-colored SUV, Belk said. A 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his abdomen was dropped off at a hospital around 3 p.m. Sunday, Sgt. Franco Cesar said. The victim was not cooperative and gave police conflicting information about the case, but witnesses said the shooting happened in the 300 block of Wyoming Street.The shooting victim had surgery and is expected to survive, Franco
said.
