A juvenile and a teenage man were arrested for a residential burglary in Antioch Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Officers responded to a report of two people at a residence in the 2800 block of Vista Way at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Police said a witness who knew the residents were not home at the time saw the two subjects enter into the side yard.

The two were at the front door prior to entering the side yard, according to police.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found someone had forced entry into the home. Inside, they located a 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old man, police said.

Both suspects were putting items into bags when officers entered. The two attempted to flee but were quickly apprehended, police said.

Police said officers found items from the home in the suspects’ possession.

The juvenile was booked into juvenile hall. The adult was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
