Man Injured In Oakland Pellet Gun Shooting

A man was shot with a pellet or BB gun in East Oakland on Monday afternoon, according to police.

Officers were flagged down shortly before 5 p.m. regarding the shooting on 90th Avenue near MacArthur Boulevard, according to Oakland police Officer Frank Bonifacio.

The man, an Oakland resident, was shot once with a BB or pellet gun. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were not life-threatening injuries, Bonifacio said.

The victim and the suspect or suspects who shot him appear to be known to each other, but no arrests have been made, Bonifacio said.
