Police are seeking more information about the shooting of a 17-year-old boy in Fairfield on Sunday afternoon, a police sergeant said. Officers were notified that a victim, later identified as a teenage boy from Fairfield, suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen and was dropped off at a hospital around 3:05 p.m., police Sgt. Franco Cesar said. Through interviews with witnesses, officers learned that the shooting apparently occurred in the 300 block of Wyoming Street, Cesar said. The victim gave police conflicting information about the shooting before going into surgery and is being uncooperative with the investigation, Cesar said.
