A Livermore golf instructor pleaded not guilty today to charges that he sexually abused three boys who he had been teaching.
Andrew Nisbet, 32, faces a total of 75 felony counts, including oral copulation by force, oral copulation with a minor, lewd and lascivious acts with a minor, distribution or exhibition of lewd material to a minor and arranging a meeting with a minor for the purpose of engaging in lewd and lascivious behavior.
The alleged victims are boys between the ages of 12 and 17, according to Livermore police.
Nisbet, who is being held without bail at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, is scheduled to return to Alameda County Superior Court on March 26 for a pretrial hearing.
Nisbet was arrested on Dec. 7, shortly before he was to receive the 2013 Junior Golf Leader Award from the PGA’s Northern California Section.
PGA officials cited Nisbet “for his dedication and leadership in developing a wealth of exciting and educational golf programs for juniors.”
Nisbet taught at the Las Positas Golf Course in Livermore and for the past five years he has helped plan and run the U.S. Kids Golf World Championships in Pinehurst, N.C.
