On February 8, 2014, at 11:22am, an unknown male wearing a brown jacket entered the Neighborhood Convenience Store located at 1301 Fillmore Street, walked around the store, and then exited within minutes without making a purchase. A short time later the same male reappeared wearing a black jacket, black pant, black mask, and wearing gloves.
Once inside the suspect went to the counter and gave the cashier a demand note stating, “Give me the cash and don’t scream, I have a gun.” When the cashier attempted to move her children out of the way the suspect grabbed the cashier forcing her to open the cash register acting as if he had a gun. After taking an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled the store and was last seen north on Oakland Street then east in the rear alleyway of the 1300 block of Fillmore Street.
