A Martinez man arrested today after images of child pornography were found in his home has worked as a teacher in local school districts, according to police. Peter Andrew Poulson, 64, was arrested today after Martinez police were called to his home on the 300 block of Freda Court for a welfare check, according to Detective Sgt. Dave Mathers. Officers located the child pornography after contacting Poulson, and obtained a follow-up search warrant for his home.
Several items were seized as evidence, Mathers said. No children were in the home with Poulson, but police said he has worked as a teacher for “one or more school districts in the region.” Police did not specify to which districts they were referring. Poulson was booked into Contra Costa County Jail in lieu of bail set at $160,000.
