A man and a woman forced their way into a Hayward apartment and robbed the residents on Wednesday night, a police lieutenant said. The robbery was reported at an apartment in the 800 block of Hancock Street, near Mission Boulevard, at 8 p.m., Hayward police Lt. Eric Krimm said. The suspects knocked on the victims’ door and when they opened it, the suspects forced their way inside, according to Krimm.

At least two people were in the apartment at the time of the robbery, he said. The male suspect was armed with a knife, and the intruders demanded money from the residents, police said. The victims told the suspects that they didn’t have money, and the suspects took a cellphone before fleeing, according to Krimm. No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made in the case, Krimm said.
