A man who was fatally stabbed in a residential area of Oakland on Tuesday morning was identified by police today as 35-year-old Francis Nwagbo.
The stabbing was reported shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of 31st Street, just off Martin Luther King Jr. Way near state Highway 24, police spokesman Frank Bonifacio said.
Responding officers found Nwagbo, an Oakland resident, on the street outside a house in that block suffering from a stab wound, Bonifacio said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
