Man Dies Of Gunshot Wounds Outside Pinole Bar, police search for suspect

A Richmond man was killed at a Pinole bar early this morning, according to Pinole police.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at Green Lantern Bar at 1907 San Pablo Ave. at 12:02 a.m., Police Chief John Hardester said.

Arriving officers found an unresponsive man lying on the ground with gunshot wounds in the bar’s parking lot, he said.

Emergency medical personnel were on the scene but the man was declared dead, Hardester said.

The victim is described as a 30-year-old black man whose identity has not been released, according to Hardester.

No arrests have been made and police continue to investigate the case, Hardester said.
