Police in San Leandro arrested two teenage boys Monday night shortly after an armed robbery. Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 400 block of Central Avenue at about 8:25 p.m., police said. Police said a male was walking on Central Avenue when two males approached him. One of the suspects pointed a gun at him and demanded he give them all his stuff.

The victim feared for his life and gave the suspects several personal items, according to police. One of the responding officers arrived and stopped three males about a block away from the incident, police said. The officer determined two of the suspects he stopped were in possession of the victim’s items. The suspects – ages 17 and 14 – were arrested. All of the victim’s belongings were returned. The gun used in the robbery was recovered. It was determined to be an air soft pellet type gun, police said.
